Plastic production and sales

Our extrusion lines enable producing PP, rPET and rPET-PE plastic for our own use and for sales. With close to 20 years of experience in thermoforming we know how important it is to have proper and good raw material. In order to produce a film or plastic packaging conforming with the client requirements it’s necessary to have a thorough overview of the materials used and their characteristics as well as effect on results.

In the year 2017 we invested in a high technology extrusion line which allows producing rPET material from 100% recycled material suitable for coming in contact with food. The technology has been approved by the EFSA and helps reduce the ecological footprint left by the plastic’s industry.

rPET – plastic produced 100% from recycled materials conforming to the EFSA requirements.

Produced mainly from PET drinks packaging collected from the market and recycled. PET is among plastic types one which is best suited for recycling – e.g. within the European Union the PET recycling share is even 52%. In the 1940s, PET material was first synthesised in North America.

EstPak Plastik offers rPET materials for onward thermoforming (packaging producers) and uses the material equally in its own production for thermoforming packaging.

rPET-PE – multi-layered plastic produced 100% from recycled materials conforming to the EFSA requirements.

Consists of an rPET and PE layer. The rPET layer gives the product a superb transparency and durability. The upper PE layer gives the material extremely good welding characteristics and humidity resistance. It’s suitable for use on FFS lines as a base plastic (e.g. different sliced product packaging which are formed and filled in the food industry).

PP film – the most used plastic in the world. PP is a material with good mechanical and welding characteristics.

EstPak Plastik produces PP film mainly for its own use – for making different kinds of plastic packaging. At the same time, we offer the finished film for sale to clients for further thermoforming (packaging producers). We offer different kinds of film according to the client needs: coloured, bright, frost safe etc.

Today the rPET film production capacity exceeds our own need, therefore we offer the film for sale to new and existing cooperation partners. We have produced over 1.3 billion trays ourselves and therefore know what is important when selecting raw materials and production methods, so we can offer top quality!
